NOSTALGIC

The ringing of the bell,
In the long corridor,
The slow, hearty tune
Of the lonely afternoon,
The cosy shade of the tree
In the corner,
And
The stretched basketball court;
Being a part of the memories,
These come back, again and again,
As vivid as ever.

The smiling friends in the smiling photographs,
The running teenage races up and down the stairs,
The game that was lock-and-key,
Trying to imagine oneself in valentine pairs,
The disbelieving hunger of tiffintime robbers,
The cute, lovely faces of our fellow classmates female,
The guitar players huddled together in a class corner,
Playing a tune to depict the friendship's tale,
The patient faces of the shouting teachers,
The shouts and catcalls of the disturbing ones,
The clangs and clatters of empty tiffinboxes,
The sneaking out of classrooms if you ever get the chance,
Some brilliant always serious,
Sitting with rapt attention,
Some definitely NOT serious,
That needs a serious mention,
Some playing with their thoughts
And making a world of colour,
Some typical old daydreamers
Dreaming about girls and dollar,
Some were born only to laugh,
While others made them do so,
Some even made pens fight,
And did things many others didn't know.

These were my dear, old, school days,
These were my breath,
Those were the times which I won't forget,
Which I'll remember till my death.
But those days are gone,
Gone are the friends,
Alone I smell the old days' memories,
And brood with the only pal------------NOSTALGIA.
